Secret Sidewalk Senior Shoot...

Ok, so yesterday I was taken back to my high school days. I had the pleasure of taking out these beautiful girls on a senior shoot. We were in search of graffiti...and asked them if they knew of any place cool like that we could go...they mentioned the secret sidewalk...

Anyone from around here (Fremont, Ca) knows about the legend of the white witch in Niles Canyon and the secret sidewalk, and how absolutely terrifying it is to go there (at least it was back when I was 16!!). Anyhow, I was convinced I needed to re-visit a piece of my past, and make some new memories.

So, off we trekked...darting in and out of bushes, running along the railroad tracks away from barking dogs, searching for that familiar ledge at the top of the hill. Ok, so it was a stinking mountain that we ended up climbing (all the while trying to protect with one hand my 5D and 70-200 2.8 IS lens--quite the investment--and with the other grasping at tree branches trying to pull myself up--so glad I lost that baby weight).

And there we were, at the edge of the secret sidewalk, with the most beautiful graffiti, and the most beautiful bokeh. SO WORTH IT!! And then we heard a bunch of rustling and saw a dark figure emerge (no doubt it was just a homeless man or something)...but one of the girls muttered about it being the troll of the secret sidewalk and we scrammed. Love those urban legends, he he. Here's what I got!!

i love this
i literally live on the street right next to the bridge
i think its one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to go
ive brought a lot of people there to show them exactly what you did.
except without the expensive cam
anyways this sidewalk is a great peace of history and i dont know if you actually climbed those things all the way to the middle but there are names dating back to 1947
so its pretty amaizing
